Just want to say thanks for making this game! The fact you were able to make such a quality game in such a short amount of time is truly impressive.
I love that ending 3 is ambiguous enough that you aren't sure if you made the right choice or not (it was still the first ending I chose). I would've like to have found out why the witch was imprisoned in the woods to begin with (from both her and Claire's perspective) but maybe the lack of info we had makes the endings more impactful and definitely leaves you wanting more. Can't wait to see what more you do with this story, if anything, or at least whatever future projects you may put out! You're very talented! I loved the story, character designs and atmosphere. Well done!
P.s. I too would like to kiss or romance the witch lol
Thanks! It's not rude at all, I get what you mean. The good news is that I intend to continue the project, and extend the story! So thanks you for the feedback.
And glad you like her design! Hope you find her a good ship.
LOVED the folklore vibes here, and the mystery behind and witch as well as the moral debates that it brought up. The music and visuals were absolutely KILLER, too. I wish I managed to play this in time to rate it on the Spooktober jam :((
Love it love it love it love it. ๐ Feels like a game made just for me: we've got bizarre rituals, oddball fae, Otherkin with unknowable motivations, incredibly stylish art, and a phenomenal soundtrack to boot. Perfection from start to finish--thank you for a wonderful evening's experience!
I love the art and setting of this game. I find it interesting that claire and the thousand eye witch seems to be close based on the portrait in the house but we don't get enough backstory. Is it even possible to have a return trip without doing something drastic?
I love the art style, the music fits nicely with the tone of the game, the world lore and characters are really interesting, and the length feels just right - the game doesn't overstay its welcome.
The lantern mechanic is cool - simple but effective.
I did notice a couple small issues:
- Typo: "an nearly-filled"
- 1 or 2 dialogue lines where the speaker name is missing (e.g. "Wise Woman Claire", "Claus", etc.)
You finished this game in only 2 weeks as a solo dev, with very little prior Ren'Py experience?
That's super impressive! Awesome job on everything! ๐ฅณ๐
I'm saying it again here: thank you so much! Reading your comment bring me so much joy!
Yeah I'm still new to Renpy, but it's very pleasant how beginner-friendly it is; and I like game jam as a way to try stuff, it forces me to be efficient! It was two really dense week tho haha...
And thank you a lot for pointing those issues, I'll be sure to fix them!
Thank you!! I tried my best to make a self-contained story, I am really happy to hear it feels like it, and that you liked the game. Thank you for those kind words!
Thank you a lot! Nothing is vector, it's all raster; but I got that question a lot, I like sharp and flat shapes! And no, the story is not based on any particular mythology.

Hey, the game is great so far, I love the art.
Just wanted to give you a heads up that there's a spelling error when Claus is talking to himself.
Hey, thank you a lot! I haven't been able to change it in time, but thanks a lot for pointing it out, it's super nice.
No worries, good luck with the Jam!
Your art is very awesome! Is it a pure vector or a mix with raster? Also, is there any ethnic mythology behind the game narrative?
Thank you a lot! Nothing is vector, it's all raster; but I got that question a lot, I like sharp and flat shapes! And no, the story is not based on any particular mythology.
